PRNU 114 – Intro to Clinical Practice

Course Description: Introduces students to the application of nursing knowledge to address basic human health problems. Course objectives are applied through supervised experiences in selected settings. Pre/co-requisite: PRNU 113.

Section Description: The focus of this course is to introduce the student to the application of nursing knowledge to address basic human health problems using a clinical reasoning approach. The foundational concepts and theories germane to the nursing profession will be used to promote health and provide continuity of care. Role development and essential nursing skills for clinical practice are emphasized. Course objectives are applied through supervised experiences in selected settings.
