Course Description: Specialized or experimental courses offered as resources permit. Prerequisite: Business Administration major or minor; Minimum Junior standing.

Section Description: This course has two distinct objectives: 1. To provide students with a broad understanding of the FinTech Landscape a. Payments b. Lending Platforms c. Robo-advising d. Cryptocurrency and Blockchain e. Insurance Technology (Insurtech) f. Real Estate Technology (RealTech) g. Crowdfunding h. Artificial Intelligence i. Technology for cash management j. Customer Relationship Management k. And new technologies emerging everyday 2. To introduce students to R programming, particularly as it can be applied to portfolio analysis 3. Class time each week will consist of lectures as well as independent “lab” time for hands-on R programming. Potentially also guest lectures from people working with FinTech applications.
