Course Description: This fundamental course provides instruction in how businesses work and what is required to excel and lead in today's work environment. Prerequisite: First-Year Business Administration major.

Section Description: This fundamental course provides instruction in how businesses work and what is required to excel and lead in today's work environment. Emphasis is on understanding yourself in a business role, industry, competitor, sustainability and country analyses. Approach may include a mix of lectures, case discussions and active learning. Section Expectations Required Textbooks: W.G. Nickels, J.M. McHugh, & S.M. McHugh. Understanding Business. 12th edition. NY: McGraw-Hill Evaluation A mix of individual and group assignments. Class participation. Two quizzes, one test and a mix of individual and group verbal and written assignments.
