BSAD 310 – Professional Communications

Course Description: Addresses different components of professional communications key to accounting career success. Clear business writing, strong interpersonal skills, effective presentations and group meeting communications are emphasized and illustrated through a variety of assignments. Prerequisite: Master of Accountancy Graduate standing or Instructor permission.

Section Description: This course will help students enhance their accounting research and communication skills for professional success. In particular, this course provides an opportunity for students to identify which accounting rules and standards apply in a particular situation and develop supportable conclusions from those rules and standards. The course will emphasize the communication of technical analyses as part of the research process. Students will focus on both written and oral communication techniques to explain, support, and document analyses in clear and effective ways.
