Course Description: Examination of how accounting information is collected, stored and made available to decision makers with an emphasis on internal control implementation. Prerequisites: BSAD 161 or BSAD 180; Senior standing; Business Administration major, Master of Accountancy student, Business Administration minor, Accounting minor.
Section Description: This course will study the role of accounting information systems in an organization. In this course, you will learn how accounting information systems collect, record, and store business data and how it transforms the data into information for decision making emphasizing the controls necessary to assure accuracy and reliability of the accounting data and information.
