Course Description: Introduces non-business majors to the fundamentals of accounting, finance, marketing, operations, management, strategy. May be used by Business Administration minors to fulfill three credits of upper-level Business Administration electives. Prerequisites: Non-Business Administration major.
Section Description: In this course, we will explore the world of business, both big and small. We will look at how the world changes business and how business changes the world. This course is about business in the context of our global society. It introduces students to a variety of micro and macro concepts through reading, class discussions, and conversations with guest speakers. Students will be encouraged to use course material to be self-aware and mindful about how businesses are formed, led, and managed. Course Goals: 1. Explore the world of business. 2. Understand how businesses are created, managed, and led. 3. Develop leadership and communications skills by participating in a team experience. 4. Become a better consumer, employee, or business owner.
