Section Description: This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the field of product management. Key perspectives that shape the field including the role of the product in the marketing mix, product and brand management strategies, and the new product development process will be emphasized. Upon completion of this course, you should: 1. Have a detailed understanding of the concepts used in brand/product management; 2. Understand the critical balance organizations must create between established brands and new product development; and 3. Be able to apply the new product development process.
