THE 095 – Art of Perfmnce: Acting/Improv

Course Description: See Schedule of Courses for specific titles. Fall. Prerequisite: Instructor permission.

Section Description: This is a hands-on class that will expose students to the tenants and techniques of modern acting. Through games and exercises, in a safe and supportive environment, students will learn to relax, to develop flexible and expressive voices and bodies, and to react with honesty and spontaneity in improvisation and scripted scenes. The three main performance projects will be a short neutral scene, a monologue and a longer scene from American dramatic literature.
