pre-registration approaching, we are asking students who are interested
in taking the course to contact one of us by e-mail to let us know of
your interest and WHY you want to take the course. At
this point it looks like we may have more interested students than
spaces (14) for students. So, we're going to have to consider some
criteria for selecting students. Although class and major will be
factors, in our view the most important factor will be whether a student
will make a substantial contribution to the program. We want students
who will both benefit from the experience and contribute to the success
