The Morrill Act (1862-2012) 150 years of learning discovery and engagement
The sesquicentennial celebration of the Justin Morrill Land Grant Act will highlight the importance of public higher education to our country's future in innovation.
UVM is the fifth school in the nation to sign the "Real Food Campus Commitment." UVM pledges to serve 20 percent "real food" at all its campus food outlets by 2020. "Real food" means more locally grown, fair trade and low environmental impact and/or humanely produced selections.

Brown Dog Books of Hinesburg and SugarSnap of Burlington, are two area businesses benefiting from the Cabot Marketing Challenge course at UVM. Cabot Creamery sponsors the course and applications for the next Challenge class will be available June 1st.
Fixing a Broken Food System: UVM will host a Food Systems Summit June 24-29, 2012 called "Leading the Necessary (r)Evolution for Sustainable Food Systems." This first ever food summit invites innovative ideas and initiatives for transforming our traditional food system.
