Course  Description:

This course explores the potential for ecological design to shape a sustainable future.  It analyses living technologies for food production, waste management and environmental restoration.  The history, application, and future directions of applied ecological design will be discussed.  Students are required to work on an  eco-machine project, research design problems, and complete the required readings.  Grades are based on participation, attendance, projects, papers, and a final.  Pre/co-requisites: Jr/Sr standing; background in ecology/systems theory.
