[Dj]

We get asked this question alot. It's very exciting for us to find out how many of you are interested in doing what we love doing: playing music most people won't otherwise hear if stations like us didn't exist. There are a couple of times per year in which we offer training sessions for prospective djs. We are always looking for new talent! For more info, we've created a separate page about becoming a dj @ WRUV. [go back]

[Number of DJs]

WRUV is comprised of many individuals who volunteer their time to the station.
We are all passionate about our own genres of music. WRUV survives because
of our continued efforts to make ourselves a thriving non-commercial station.
However, since we don't have "commercial dollars" to play with, our djs are students
at the University of Vermont or members of the surround community who must work
the infamous "day job." Thus, to keep the station going 7 days a week, we each
devote a few hours per week (sometimes more, depending upon position).
This all makes for a continuous stream of music, that often varies greatly dj-to-dj...and we like it that way.

Variety is what makes us unique! [go back]
