We hope you can join us at the 11th annual conference on April 12, 2016!!

The conference is free for current UVM affiliates and students from all Vermont colleges and universities. There is a $20 fee for community members. A full schedule, including workshop descriptions and presenter bios, will be sent to all registered participants early next week.

2015 Featured Speakers: Sandra Kim & Stephanie Gilmore

Sandra Kim, is the Founding CEO and Co-Publisher of Everyday Feminism, one of the largest independent feminist media sites in the world, with 4.5 million visitors per month from over 200 countries. Sandra brings a wide range of approaches and skills to Everyday Feminism from her experience working with survivors or violence and abuse, healing and personal transformation, social entrepreneurship, and life coaching. She has worked on the front lines in the fight against human trafficking and in the social innovation and nonprofit capacity-building field.
Sandra will provide the morning keynote, which will be entitled, "Building an Intersectional and Inclusive Movement to End Sexual Assault."

Stephanie Gilmore, is an award-winning educator, writer, editor, and activist. She holds a Ph.D. in comparative women's history from The Ohio State University, where she divided her time as a research assistant in Key West, FL and a managing editor for the Journal of Women's History. In 2011-12, she enjoyed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Women's Studies Program at Duke University. After spending eight years in the academic world, she left and decided to dedicate her passion and talent to ending sexual violence on college and university campuses.
Stephanie will provide the afternoon endnote, which will be entitled, "Confronting Rape Culture on College Campuses: Student Activism in the 21st Century."
