To make an appointment with me

  1. First check my general availability to meet by looking at the “Calendar” link on my website at  This calendar will show the dates and times that I am already booked.

  2. Next, check to see if I have allocated some specific times for advising.  You will be able to see these times marked “Available for Advising”, “Office hours”, or something similar. It will probably be easier to identify these times if the Calendar is the the "Week" mode.

  3. If one of these times works for you, send me an email and I will confirm that that time will work.  It would be a good idea to also send me your cell phone contact in case I have a last minute schedule change and have to reach you quickly.  Eventually you should see our appointment confirmed on the “Calendar” page.

  4. If none of the dates or times that I’ve identified as available for advising will work for you, then do the following.  First, look for an totally open/unscheduled time in my calendar and propose that to me as a possibility.  Second, look for a time marked “Do not schedule” and propose that.  It is possible that I may be able to rearrange my schedule to utilize one of these proposed times.

  5. If you can't locate me or I've been unresponsive, you can Marcie Newland by e-mail, by phone at 656-2911, or by visiting her office in 304 Aiken Center. She can identify a meeting time that works for both of our schedules.

  6. If all else fails (or if you have an emergency need) you can contact me on my cell phone (802-238-0929) and we will arrange something that works. But please try one of the above methods first.
