Started off with darwinports, but that only got us 0.6.8 (current as of this writing was 0.6.27).
Then tried Fink. That got us up to 0.6.13

Not as easy as it looks. Trick is to partition external HD using GUID partitioning. So I partitioned and instaled and booted, but Boot Camp refuses to partition an external drive.

omebody asked how to change the user name (or Short name) in Mac OSX.
Simplest is to use NetInfo, but be sure to change namae in admin group, too! or you lock yourself out of the system. Sems like ChangeShortName will work, too

Client asked if bootcamp could be used as disk partition utility. Well no, not really. Boot Camp Assistant allows non-destructive repartitioning of startup disk, and perhaps only the internal startup disk. Also, disk must be partitioned correctly. Still investigating.
