The picture seen on this and several other UVM pages has been randomly chosen from a select pool of images existent within the corpus of documents that comprise the UVM Web. The pictures within the pool were selected to provide a broad cross-section of li
fe at the University of Vermont: the buildings, the grounds, the history, the people, the research, the learning. The choice is made through the use of a custom CGI script: each time the UVM index page is reloaded, a new image is displayed.
While simple and elegant,the process doesn't at this time support any reliable method to deliver picture credits or descriptions. For that, you need to take A Short Walking Tour. An examination o
