The Vermont Legislative Research Service (VLRS)
The Vermont Legislative Research Service (VLRS) strives to provide non-partisan policy research support to state legislators while concurrently promoting students research skills. Students work in research teams to produce reports answering questions posed by Legislators or create new reports based on current issues in the Legislature, under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski, Director of the VLRS.
The VLRS will suspend operations in 2014 due to the fact that its funding has ended (the VLRS was funded by the James M. Jeffords Center from 2010 to 2013 with grant money from the U.S. Deptartment of Education).
The reports listed on this web site have been prepared by undergraduate students at the University of Vermont under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski. The material contained in the reports does not reflect official policy of the University of Vermont.
