The Vermont Legislative Research Service (VLRS) of the James M. Jeffords Center
The Vermont Legislative Research Service (formerly the Vermont Legislative Research Shop, which was founded in 1998 and in 2010 became part of the UVM Jeffords Center), strives to provide non-partisan policy research support to state legislators while concurrently promoting students research skills. Students work in research teams to produce reports answering questions posed by Legislators or create new reports based on current issues in the Legislature, under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski, Director of the VLRS.
The reports listed on this web site have been prepared by undergraduate students at the University of Vermont under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski. The material contained in the reports does not reflect official policy of the University of Vermont.
