The Vermont Legislative Research Service (VLRS)
The Vermont Legislative Research Service (VLRS) strives to provide non-partisan policy research support to state legislators while concurrently promoting students research skills. Students work in research teams to produce reports answering questions posed by Legislators or create new reports based on current issues in the Legislature, under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski, Director of the VLRS.
The VLRS will resume operations in January 2015. Professor Robert Bartlett and Professor Eileen Burgin will join Professor Gierzynski in operating the VLRS and supervising research projects. Students interested in being Student Researchers for the VLRS contact Professor Gierzynski. Legislators in need of research from the VLRS please fill out the request form at the lower left-hand corner of this page or email Professor Gierzynski.
The reports listed on this web site have been prepared by undergraduate students at the University of Vermont under the supervision of Professor Anthony Gierzynski. The material contained in the reports does not reflect official policy of the University of Vermont.
