The mission of the Preservation Trust of Vermont is to initiate, stimulate, and assist the efforts to preserve Vermont's rich collection of historic architectural resources, the cultural landscape, and the fabric of our communities.
Our general approach is to help provide resources and tools to local organizations, communities, and others who are on the ground dealing with critical preservation projects and issues.
We identify unmet needs, and then develop an appropriate mechanism to fill the gaps. We are careful to avoid duplicating the efforts of others. We work cooperatively with other groups and organizations. From a budgetary standpoint, we keep our overhead costs to a minimum. As a result, we area able to target most of our financial resources toward specific projects and services.
