FRIENDS OF JACLYN
Friends of Jaclyn Website
Prior to the Albany game the Catamounts will be taking donations at the ticket window in Gutterson Fieldhouse for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FOJ) is a non-profit, charitable organization that was created and dedicates itself to raise public awareness regarding pediatric brain tumors. The foundation's goal is to improve the quality of life for children suffering with pediatric brain tumors and help fund research. FOJ matches a child with a college or high school sports team based on geographic location. The Foundation was inspired by Jaclyn Murphy, an 11 year old, who was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in March 2004. Jaclyn's strength and courage, relentless spirit, and joy for life are an inspiration to those who know her. Jaclyn was adopted by the Northwestern women's lacrosse team in 2004 and has been an honorary member of the Wildcat team ever since. The Catamounts, who have raised money for the Foundation, will wear special warm-up jerseys for their next three games.
