Our research deals with the synthesis and biological evaluations of analogues for treatment of cancers. In particular, the drug Pixantrone is currently under review by the FDA and the European Agency for treatment of non-Hodgkin's leukemia. We have also developed a widely used synthetic procedure which is commonly referred to as the Krapcho dealkoxycarbonylation.
