Author of one undergraduate textbook (An Introduction to Lagrangian Mechanics, World Scientific, 2008), and author or co-author of two graduate textbooks (in preparation) and over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including one highly-cited review paper on Foundations of Nonlinear Gyrokinetic Theory published in Reviews of Modern Physics. Invited speaker and lecturer at several international conferences and research institutions in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The theoretical investigation of high-temperature, strongly-magnetized plasmas for the purpose of developing controlled thermonuclear fusion energy as a reliable source of energy.
Sharing my passion for science with the general student population as well as members of the community at large. My technical teaching interests include Classical Mechanics, Plasma Physics, and Mathematical Physics.
