Computing Resources
The IBM Bluemoon cluster has 284 nodes providing 1420 compute cores with the following configurations:
- 128 dual-processor, dual-core (Opteron 2220) IBM x3455s, with 6GB each, Myrinet-10G connected.
- 98 dual-processor, quad-core (Opteron 2356) IBM x3455s, with 12GB each, Ethernet-connected only.
- 56 dual-processor (Opteron 252) IBM e326/e326m compute nodes, with 2GB each, Myrinet-2G connected.
- 1 4-way dual-core (Opteron 8220) shared memory machine with 128GB.
- 1 4-way (Intel Xeon MP 3.66GHz) shared memory machine with 32GB.
- 2 user nodes (IBM x3455s))
- 4 I/O nodes (IBM x3655s, 10G ethernet connected)
- connected to an IBM DS4800 providing 50 terabytes of raw storage to GPFS.
