The University of Vermont Snowboard Team is proud to present UVMST Weekend at Stowe Mountain Resort this April 12th and 13th. The weekend starts off at 10 on Saturday April 12th with the first annual Girls Gone Shred slopestyle event. Girls Gone Shred is a woman only slopestyle competition designed to allow the Vermont women showcase their shredding. All competitors will be given three runs that will be judged on overall impression. The concept of this event was to get all the female snowboarders in Northern Vermont together for a fun day of spring snowboarding and hanging out. Prizes will be given out to the top performers as well as to the best trick.
The UVM Snowboard Team is proud to welcome back the second annual Box Social to the weekend festivities. Starting at 10 on Sunday April 13th, the Box Social will showcase a completely different style of riding then seen in most snowboard competitions. Riders will compete in teams of three, as they are dressed in their best costume and make their way through a style based event. There will be three rounds to this year's event: the first is a straight air only round, the second is no spins over 360, and the last is an anything goes session. The top three teams will be rewarded, as well as the team with the best costume, and best trick thrown down for the day. Come out with your friends, get dressed up, and showcase your crails.
