Online Submission

The online registration for the 2017 Student Research Conference will be available February 20, 2017 – March 27, 2017.

The registration requires an abstract and the NetID of your faculty research mentor, along with other basic information. Should you wish to begin working on your registration before the official launch, your abstract and the netID of your faculty research mentor are the most crucial pieces of information for preparing to register for the conference.

Things to Consider Before Registering

FORMAT — Which presentation format is right for me?
Much of the choice of presentation format is based on personal preference, but often you can receive guidance on this topic from your faculty research mentor. Different formats may be of more or less value based on your past experience, your discipline, and so on. For more information regarding the individual presentation styles, please see our Creative Presentation, Lightning Talk, Oral Presentation and Poster pages.

Note: Regardless of presentation style, remember to acknowledge any funding award or organization, source of significant contribution or editing, research group, faculty, etc. This is not just being nice, instead it is an important part of being a researcher.

TIME BLOCK — What time is it best for me to present?
The Student Research Conference is held on a Thursday (April 27, 2017). You are given the option of a Morning or Afternoon time slot. These time slots are then broken down depending on your presentation format:
