Welcome to the UVM Student Government Association

The Student Government Association at The University of Vermont represents the opinions, ideas and beliefs of the undergraduate student body. Forty elected senators and three executive members meet weekly on Tuesday evenings in the Livak Ballroom of the Dudley H. Davis Center to discuss current issues on campus and in the Burlington community.

The Student Government Association also recognizes and funds over 140 student run organizations on campus. Please take the opportunity to get involved in a student group that matches your interests.

Club Sports still going

Congratulations to the UVM Cycling team who competed in the Road Cycling nationals in Fort Collins, Colorado. Up against some full squads of talented riders UVM proved it could hold its own finishing 17th overall.

Sailing continues it strongest ever season ranking 8th in the nation in the most recent poll as it gears up for the final regatta at the end of this month.

All recognized clubs must submit a new Club Update Form by May 11. You can download a copy from the "Documents and Forms" link. Please fill this out and email back to uvmsga@uvm.edu

Club Sports go to Regionals...and Nationals

The SGA would like to wish good luck to several of its clubs this week who have qualified for and will be attending Regional tournaments including Men's and Women's Ultimate Frisbee and Crew.

In addition, a very special congratulations to Sailing who has qualified for its first ever Nationals and currently stands 12th in the country.

Club sports outdoors

This weekend our club sports will be very active in the wake of last weekend where we were not onyl active but very succesful holding events like a regional fencing tournament, prom dress rugby and lacrosse.

This week, Cycling will be hosting its largest road race ever. As well, both Sailing and Ultimate Frisbee will be traveling for regionals this weekend.

Club sports Events this weekend

As the weather warms are Club sports continue to be active with several events on campus this weekend.

Fencing hosts an all weekend event in the Tennis Courts while Rugby battles in their prom dresses on Field 1 at 11 am on Saturday.

Men's Lacrosse continues the weekends events with a game on the turf at 3.

Good Luck to the Crew team in defense of their Vermont Cup title up at the boathouse in Milton.

Club Sports Updates

Men's Volleyball, Women's Basketball and many others traveled last weekend to represent UVM in the realm of club sports.

The afformentioned teams were competing in their respective NIRSA regionals tournaments and did admirably. Women's Basketball, in their first ever appearance in the tournament, made it to the semi finals.

Numerous other teams had successful weekends including Cycling and Sailing, who had their usual stellar weekends, as well as Women's Lacrosse who split in thier firs

Club Hockey All-Star Weekend

Catch three of our men's club hockey team's best players in action against all-stars from all over the north east as the club hosts the NECHA All-Star game. Festivities take place all weekend with the main event taking place on Sunday afternoon.

Spring Break Successes

Many Catamounts had great success and amazing experiences over this past spring break. Many have probably heard of Varsity Men's Hockey who gained a berth to the Hockey East Championship in thrilling fashion on their home ice.

Club Sports gear up for break

After another great weekend of sporting activities for our Club Sports(Roller Hockey may have qualified for nationals and Cycling won yet again). This week many of our clubs are gearing up for intense spring break trips.

Both Sailing and Crew head south for full days on the water in preparation of the runs toward nationals.

Ultimate Frisbee and Cycling both will be competing in multiple tournaments and should have some solid team bonding time in both the Vans and houses on the water.

Men's Crew participated in the indoor championship down in Boston this weekend and every individual returned to Vermont with a "Personal Best".

Men's Hockey lost a heart breaker in the first round of playoffs to end their season but should be commended for another above .500 season and qualifying for the regional playoff.
