Become the next Student Trustee
The Board of Trustees Selection Committee has now opened the process for students to become the next Student Trustee.
The UVM Board of Trustees has two student members, who are Trustees with full voting rights. The students serve two-year, staggered terms, and therefore a new Student Trustee is selected each year by a panel of student leaders. The Board of Trustees has full legal responsibility and authority for the University of Vermont, including entire management and control of property and affairs of the university. The Board of Trustees sets and approves policies, budgets and strategic planning.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the University but also build a resume! It is arguably the highest level of involvement for students at UVM.
Three information sessions will be held the first three weeks of November for interested students, and applications will be due January 15th, 2013.
