Description:Presenter Lisa Newton explores the complex, ethical dilemmas in the choices made between the earth and the dinner plate: on what we plant for food, how we raise it, market it, buy and eat it. Topics include the environmental problems created by agriculture, genetically modified crops, industrial farming, the marketing of fat and sugar, childhood obesity, diabetes and other health problems of the contemporary world, and the government subsidies that make it all possible. 9/25 to 10/16.
