From the bright tweet of the American robin to the haunting hoot of the barred owl, associate professor of wildlife biology Allan Strong shows off his wide-ranging birdcall skills, which he’s been honing since childhood.

Strong is the associate dean for academic affairs and faculty development in the Rubenstein School, and an American Birding Association "Big Day" record holder in New Hampshire, where he detected 170 different bird species in 24 hours.
