The Danbury Hospital/University of Vermont College of Medicine 2014 Global Health Series hosted a special presentation, titled "Death Called a River: The Story of Ebola," on Monday, Oct. 27 in the Sullivan Classroom in the Medical Education Center 200, at the College of Medicine. More than 100 people attended the event.

Majid Sadigh, M.D., UVM associate professor of medicine and director of the Global Health Center at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network, was the featured speaker. Sadigh recently completed a three-day intensive Ebola training at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and will be leaving for Liberia, where he will work for six weeks, on Nov. 1.
