Charles Schnitzein, the Steven Grossman endowed chair of finance in UVM’s School of Business Administration, was quoted in an Associated Press story on "slow money," a type of socially responsible investing in sustainable food companies that provide a modest financial but a strong social return.  Schnitzein lauded the approach but said investors should stay closely involved to minimize the financial risk. The story appeared in media outlets across the country, from BloombergBusinessWeek to the Houston Chronicle to Salon to the Huffington Post to the Washington Post.
