Pacific Standard Reports on UVM Scientists’ Study of Happiness

Research by professors Chris Danforth and Peter Dodds, confirming a positivity bias in humans across time and languages, is the subject of an article in Pacific Standard magazine. The mathematically-inclined pair have turned their talents to quantifying and measuring happiness levels around the world, using their “hedonometer,” which measures use of positive and negative words to produce a daily report of the geography and timing of mood.
