Lisa Homes, associate professor in history, had an article published in the January, 2014, issue of the journal Political Science and Politics titled, "Lower Federal Court Judicial Conformation Fights: A Critical Review of the Empirical Literature and Future research Directions." The article includes a comprehensive review of 20 years of politcal science literature on lower federal court appointments in politics. Holmes and her co-authors take stock of the political science literature in this area and highlights where scholarly interest appears to be going.
