Students in the University of Vermont College of Medicine’s Health Care Policy Interest Group organized a Health Policy Week featuring a series of noontime lectures. The sessions were held in the Sullivan Classroom in the Medical Education Center.

Topics included:

March 18: “Green Mountain Care Board” featuring Mark Larson, commissioner of the Department of Vermont Healthcare Access
March 19: “Discussion of Women's Health Policies” by Anya Koutras, M.D., Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine
March 20: “Social Justice or Patient Autonomy: The Future of Medical Ethics in Vermont” featuring Robert Emmons, M.D., Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and a Professionalism, Communication and Reflection group leader at the UVM College of Medicine
March 21: “Immunizations in a Public Policy Setting” by Tracy Dolan, Deputy Commissioner for Public Health at the Vermont Department of Health
March 22: “Health Policy and Economics” featuring Vermont State Representative Cynthia Browning
