The university has resolved to name the building at 438 Main Street, constructed in 1908 and renovated in 2006, in honor of President Lattie Coor, who served from 1976 to 1989, “‘one of the most influential presidents ever to have served UVM,’” board chairman Robert Cioffi tells the Free Press. President Sullivan adds that, “‘It was appropriate to name the administrative home of the College of Arts and Sciences, our largest academic unit, after him,’” as Coor was a political scientist.
