Fueled by the strong performance from their Nordic sqauds, the Colorado Buffaloes came from behind to win the 2013 NCAA Ski Championships hosted by Middlebury College, March 6-9.
 
Vermont, which led through the first three days of the championships, slipped to third after the final day of competition. The Catamounts totaled 653 points. Utah was the national runner-up with 665 points.

Two Catamounts earned individual national championships: juniors Anja Gruber (classic) and Jonathan Nordbotten (giant slalom).

Seven Catamounts earned 10 All-America citations at the 2013 NCAA Championships. The top five finishes earn skiers the first-team accolade, while finishing sixth through 10th earns a second-team honor:
Linda Danvind Malm – second team (classic)
Anja Gruber – first team (classic)
Sean Higgins – first team (giant slalom)
Jonathan Nordbotten – first team (giant slalom and slalom)
Scott Patterson – second team (classic)
Kristina Riis-Johannessen – first team (giant slalom and slalom)
Kate Ryley – first team (giant slalom); second team (slalom)

The third place finish at nationals capped a season in which the Catamounts swept the Eastern Carnival circuit and won a third-straight EISA title.

The NCAA Ski Championships move out west for 2014 as Utah will host the event next year. The alpine races will be held in Park City, while the Nordic events will be at Soldier Hollow, both sites hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.
