The University of Vermont College of Medicine has made its social media debut with the launch of an official Facebook page. Managed by the medical communications team's Nina Shedd and Erin Post, the goal of the College's page is to offer a forum for asking questions, sharing stories, viewing photos and videos, and learning more about upcoming events.

The page, which launched in late January, recently posted an article about the PHAT ski helmet safety program, an interview about burn prevention with Assistant Professor of Surgery Margaret Tandoh, M.D., and a photo of faculty and staff decked out in red for the American Heart Association Wear Red Day.

As the College’s social media presence grows, fans of the page can expect to see links to news stories and interviews in the media featuring College faculty, “real-time” photos of various events, fun conversation starters, and an evolving assortment of news and events from across the campus. Fans can also discover what’s happening with College affiliates.

If you have a Facebook account, we encourage you to Like us on Facebook, help us reach 150 likes by March 1, and be part of the College of Medicine's new social media community.
