Awards and Honors

In honor of the late Armin Grams, a UVM human development and family studies faculty member, and his commitment and passion for aging, the Center on Aging at UVM has established the Armin Grams Memorial Research Award to support pilot research projects that will lead to extramural funding in aging research. UVM professor of medicine Naomi Fukagawa and Jane Kolodinsky, professor of community development and applied economics, have been announced as the award’s first recipients for their joint project proposal titled “Community-Based Nutrition Intervention in Affordable Housing for Elders.” The award presentation will take place on Friday, Feb. 22  at 4 p.m. in room 200 of the Health Science Research Facility.
