Among UVM’s technology research, the article mentions the development of wood coatings based on whey protein, a renewable resource, to produce a full line of environmentally safe floor and furniture finishes, as well as contributions to developing genetic testing for the MSH2 gene, a test which can help with the early detection of colorectal cancer.
