New efforts in silane chemistry "High Activity and Selectivity for Silane Dehydrocoupling by an Iridium Catalyst" by Rory Waterman, assistant professor of chemistry, former postdoctoral researcher Anthony Wetherby, and chemistry graduate student Neil Mucha has appeared in the journal ACS Catalysis. Additional work from the Waterman group is available as the advance on-line version at the journal Organometallics. "As–As Bond Formation via Reductive Elimination from a Zirconocene Bis(Dimesitylarsenide) Compound" features UVM graduate L. Taylor Elrod (BS '10) and Essex High School students Hussain Boxwala, HIra Haq, and Annie Zhao as coauthors.
