Research by a team of scientists led by applied mathematician Peter Dodds, analyzing more than 46 billion words chosen by Twitter users around the globe, shows that societal happiness is apparently trending downward. Dodds was interviewed on NPR’s “Marketplace,” the social media website Mashable created this video and stories appeared in U.S. News & World Report, PC magazine and many other outlets.
