The Huffington Post recently reported that the University of Vermont rates among “The 10 Best Places to Go to College.” The ratings come from Unigo, an online college resource guide that relies heavily on user-generated content.  Unigo’s “10 Best” list focuses on attractiveness and opportunities available in a school’s surroundings. Summarizing testimonials, Unigo says “Students at UVM are unanimous in their love of their school, the town, and the state of Vermont,” noting also that UVM “has one of the most breath-taking backdrops of any college.”

Other schools listed in Unigo’s  “10 Best” include Boston University, New York University, and University of Colorado – Boulder. The complete list can be viewed at www.unigo.com.

Unigo’s ratings were developed with input from 30,000 current college students across America. Students were asked to vote their top picks in ten categories, ranging from safety to intellectual rigor.
