The next installment of the Sandia-UVM Fall Seminar Series, "Control System Cyber Security: Threats, Vulnerabilities and Safeguards," will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11 in the Davis Center's Jost Conference Room at 4 p.m.

This talk, presented by Bryan Richardson, senior member of technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories, will explore the vulnerabilities in utilities' control systems and the threat vulnerabilities pose.

Richardson will discuss why control systems are more vulnerable than ever before and what the consequences are to potential exploitations. In addition, this talk touches on high-profile control system cyber security activities and highlights security challenges posed by Smart Grid technologies.
