Faculty, staff and students will get the opportunity to offer thoughts and insight on the characteristics of the next president of the university at three open forums sponsored by the Presidential Search Committee.

The Student Open Forum is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Olin Atrium of the Davis Center and will be followed by the Staff Open Forum at 3:30 p.m. in the Frank Livak Ballroom, also in the Davis Center. The Faculty Open Forum is slated for Thursday, Sept. 29 at 3:30 p.m. in the Mildred Livak Ballroom of the Davis Center.

Members of the search committee will be present at each of the forums to hear comments, ideas, and concerns regarding the hiring of UVM’s 26th president. Those interested in speaking will be asked to sign up at the forum and will have up to three minutes to offer remarks. Members of the UVM community can also offer remarks and review feedback using the online “Invitation to Comment” survey.

The forums are a follow-up to the ones held in late April and early May when the search committee met with various campus constituency groups. The search committee has already reviewed a preliminary pool of candidates and will continue the review process throughout the fall semester, concluding with campus interviews in late January 2012.
