President Sullivan has approved a delayed opening on Thursday, March 13, 2014 to allow staff additional time to clean up the campus after Winter Storm Vulcan. Classes will resume and administrative/academic offices will open at 12 noon today.

All Physical Plant Custodians, Residential Life Housekeeping Staff, and Athletic Facilities Personnel should report to work to assist in the clean up efforts for their normal start time. Please contact your supervisor, or if he or she cannot be reached call the SOS phone at 656-2560 and inform them of your status.

Campus service statuses

Emergency Response

University Police, Fire and Rescue Services are fully operational.

University Dining Services

Harris Millis Dining will open at open at 7:30 a.m. All other dining locations will open by 9 a.m.

Health Services

For emergency situations call 911. For all other medical concerns, students can call 656-3350 to receive assistance. For Counseling Services, call 656-3340 to reach an on-call counselor.

Athletic Facilities

Due to the delayed opening, all Athletic facilities (gym, fitness center, pool, racquet court, ice rink, indoor track, etc,) will be closed until 9 a.m.

There are no intercollegiate events scheduled today.

Davis Center

Will open at 7 a.m. with very limited services available.

Shuttle Services

There will be limited shuttle services during this period and will resume when the campus re-opens.

CATCard Access/Building Access

Buildings will remain locked down based on holiday schedule. If you have normal access during holidays, your access will continue.

Parking

As a reminder, a parking ban is in effect for the City of Burlington and surrounding communities.

Mail Services

There will be no U.S. Mail delivery or on-campus mail delivery until the campus re-opens and may not resume fully until Friday, March 14, 2014.

Libraries

All University Libraries will remain closed until the campus re-opens.
