| Biography: | Flores has research interests in the comparative literature of the Americas (Brazilian, Spanish-American, and U.S. Latino/a), theatre, performance, women's writing, feminist criticism, cultural studies and race and gender in the Americas. Some of her recent publications include the book, "The Drama of Gender: Feminist Theater by Women of the Americas" (2000, second edition forthcoming in paperback) and the articles, "Subverting Scripts: Identity and Performance in Plays by U.S. Latinas," "Autobiography and Performance: New Images in Chicana Theater," "Un paso hacia adelante, dos pasos hacia atras: Memory Mambo," among others. |
