| Biography: | Vanden Bergh's current areas of research include firm strategy in the political environment; regulatory, political and judicial institutions; and security valuation in high-yield fixed income markets. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, where he completed his MBA in Finance and Ph.D. in Business and Public Policy. Prior to joining UVM, he was the director of research in high-yield fixed income securities for a small investment bank in San Francisco. He has published several articles in scholarly journals and presented papers at national and international business conferences.
