Biography:Headrick recently received a highly competitive Career grant from the National Science Foundation to integrate his teaching and research in the areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology. He teaches courses in electromagnetic theory, electrostatic fields, electric and magnetic properties of matter and electromagnetic energy relationships. His research interests include the kinetics of thin-film growth, etching, real-time x-ray and electron diffraction studies of materials growth and surface evolution. He has served as a consultant to AT&T Bell Laboratories and received graduate fellowships from both the IBM and University of Pennsylvania Graduate Fellowship. Headrick is a member of the American Physical Society, the Materials Research Society and the American Vacuum Society. He has published extensively in a number of professional journals.
