| Biography: | Forehand is the Heinz and Rowena Ansbacher Endowed Professor of Psychology and has more than three decades of experience studying children within the family context and is the author of the popular self-help book, “Parenting the Strong-Willed Child.” His research focuses on the role of family stress in disrupting parenting processes and child psychosocial adjustment, as well as parenting interventions. Forehand received a $1.6 million grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to evaluate an intervention program aimed at preventing emotional and behavioral problems in children whose parents suffer from depression. |
