| Biography: | Haugh, Director of the Statistics Program, is a professor of statistics. His expertise includes: statistical process control and quality improvement; medical biostatistics; orthopaedics and rehabilitation, low back pain, reliability estimation; time series and transfer function analysis; as well as general topics in business and engineering statistics. He is a former chair (1993) of the Quality and Productivity Section of the American Statistical Section. He has served on the administrative committee of Quality Progress since 1992, and has been an editor of Quality Engineering since 1996. Among Haugh's publications are a co-edited book: "Statistical Case Studies: A Collaboration between Academe and Industry" (SIAM, 1998, (Instructor edition and Student edition); and "An EWMA-based Bounded Adjustment Scheme with Adaptive Noise Variance Estimation" in Journal of Quality Technology, 2002. |
