| Biography: | Olson is associate professor and chair of UVM's civil and environmental engineering program. His areas of research and expertise are geotechnical engineering and materials testing. Recently, he has been involved in a survey of Queen City Park in Burlington to access damage (such as erosion) from government involvement there. He has served as president of the Vermont section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as director and student advisor to the UVM chapter of that organization. In 1993, he was named by the Vermont Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers as Vermont Engineer of the Year. |
